The CrowdWater App is now available for smartphones and tablets. With this app it is possible to collect hydrological observations worldwide. You can start your own measurement stations without any additional instruments or other devices, and they will be displayed on an interactive map. The collected observations are water level, streamflow and flow conditions of temporary streams, as well as soil moisture. Simple graphical explanations and estimation methods help citizen scientists to collect this data. The collected data will be displayed in the app.
The app is for anyone – for those who regularly walk along rivers, ride their bike, go hiking, fishing or who would like to do these activities more often. Additionally the app can be used in schools and universities. The CrowdWater team is looking forward to many new observations with this app.
